Ibiza is one of the Balearic islands, an archipelago of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s well known for the lively nightlife in Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni, where major European nightclubs have summer outposts. It’s also home to quiet villages, yoga retreats and beaches, from Platja d’en Bossa, lined with hotels, bars and shops, to quieter sandy coves backed by pine-clad hills found all around the coast. Ibiza island has five cities/municipalities: Ibiza, Santa Eularia des Riu, Sant Jose de Sa Talaia, Sant Joan de Labritja, Sant Antoni de Portmany. Each municipality of Ibiza includes a number of its own distinctive features and attracts a certain type of character in each particular area. The closest island to Ibiza is Formentera, you can get there in 30 minutes by ferry that runs every half hour. Formentera is a Mediterranean paradise island with white sand and blue water.
